Lelenfant Project 2024: A Journey of Cultural Exchange

The Youth Association for Culture and Development Ouled Teima had the honor of participating in the Lelenfant International Festival for Kids in Wroclaw, Poland in 2024. This was an incredible journey of cultural exchange, learning, and friendship that the group will cherish forever.

The adventure began as the team from Ouled Teima arrived in Wroclaw and were warmly welcomed by their host families, marking the start of an exciting cultural exchange. On the second day, the group met new friends from India, Iran, and Poland, sharing food, art, and dance performances.

Over the next few days, the participants worked enthusiastically to learn new songs and dances from their international peers, blending the various styles into one spectacular show. The dedication and hard work paid off as they performed their collaborative piece for a large and appreciative audience.

After the performance, the group took some time to relax and explore the beautiful city of Wroclaw, including its famous dwarfs. They then joined forces with other groups from Poland, Gambia, Tanzania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Georgia for an unforgettable joint performance featuring dancing, singing, and acrobatics.

The final days of the festival were spent preparing for the ultimate show at the Capitol Theater. In front of an audience of 1,400 people, the Youth Association for Culture and Development Ouled Teima performed their hearts out, creating a memory that will stay with them forever.

On the last day, the group participated in a final performance and Moroccan dance workshop in Oboniki before heading back home, excited to share their amazing stories and experiences with their families and friends.
